What happens next

From your message to a real answer

Getting in touch is a conversation with the makers, not a ticket number. Here is what to expect once you reach out.

1

You reach out

Send a message through the form below or email [email protected] — a question, a bug report, a press request or a partnership idea. No polished brief needed.

2

A human reads it

Messages land with the team that builds the product, not a support funnel. We aim to reply within one to two business days.

3

We answer plainly

If something is broken we say so and fix it; if a feature does not exist we say that too. The honesty policy on the Security page applies to email as well.

4

It shapes the product

TalkRidge is deliberately small, so real-world feedback carries real weight — many of the app’s conveniences started as a message like yours.

Before you write

What to include in your message

A few lines are enough. But the more of the following you can share, the faster we can give you a useful reply.

  • What you were doing and what happened instead — for bug reports, the app version and device help a lot.
  • Never include message contents, QR codes or fingerprints in an email — we do not need them, and email is not the place for them.
  • For press: your outlet and deadline, so we can prioritise sensibly.
  • For security research: a description of the finding and how you would like to be credited — we read these first.
  • A rough idea of your time zone, so replies land while you are awake.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

A few things people often want to know before getting in touch.

Yes — every message, voice note, photo, file and call is encrypted on your device and can only be decrypted on your contact’s. The protocol and its building blocks are described plainly on the Security page. One honest caveat, stated there too: the applications have not yet undergone an independent external audit.

Because identity databases are what leaks, breaches and subpoenas feed on. Your identity in TalkRidge is a cryptographic keypair created on your phone; contacts learn it by scanning your QR code in person. There is nothing to register — and therefore nothing to steal.

A mailbox identified by a hash of a public key, sealed messages waiting to be delivered (deleted on delivery), and — only if you enable convenience mode — an encrypted backup blob that your keys alone can open. No name, no number, no readable contact list, no message content.

That depends on the mode you chose. In convenience mode, your identity and contacts can be restored on a new phone from an encrypted backup only your keys can unlock. In privacy mode nothing exists outside the device, so the history is gone — which is exactly the guarantee that mode makes.

There is no directory to search — that is a feature. A searchable user base can be scraped, spammed and correlated; TalkRidge contacts are added by scanning each other’s QR codes in person, so only people you have actually met can ever reach you.

HKMSP — a Hong Kong software house with two decades of IT, cloud and cybersecurity background. The same team that designs the protocol also runs the infrastructure and answers this contact form.

We aim to reply within one to two business days. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9AM to 7PM Hong Kong time, so a message sent over the weekend is typically answered early the following week.
